Department of Civil Engineering
Department of Civil engineering was established in the year 2009 with the intake of 60 students. Department is affiliated to BPUT University, Rourkela and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Department offers M.Tech programme with specialization STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING from the academic year 2015-2016 with an intake of 18. This department also has started Diploma Course in Civil Engineering in the academic year 2012- 2013 with an intake of 60. Right from the inception the department provided high quality value based education to the students. The students of the department have consistently maintains good academic records at the university level every year. Department conduct number of skill development programmes where the students participation is encouraged. The department has made focused effort in carrying out research activity in different field of civil engineering.

The department functions with 22 teaching faculty and 11 supporting staff. The average teaching experience of the faculty is more than ten years. The faculties are specialized in different areas of civil engineering. They show keen interest in updating their knowledge by regularly attending SDP’s, workshops, STTPs, seminars, webinars and international conferences. They also actively participate in research and publish regularly in peer reviewed international journals and conferences.
