As far as the technical facilities are concerned, the department has seven core labs in electrical engineering section. The lab has a modern computer centre networked with latest PENTIUM DUAL CORE and a SERVER. The un-interrupted power supply and a strong server help the students practice their sessions with much ease. The lab is also facilitated with internet facility having latest versions of PSCAD, ETAP, and MATLAB Licensed Software. Several staff members of the department have published national and international level papers in various conferences and journals too.
As HIT is ranked as one of the top Engineering colleges in Bhubaneswar, it is well furnished with a department library. The department library is filled with various journals and textbooks, question papers and material that facilitate the students for preparing their examinations. Our students are sent for in-plant training for 1 month duration in the summer and winter holidays.
Apart from providing all the technical skills, we also provide different programs for grooming their personality and personal skills.
